In science, we are doing research reports on an animal.  Ask your student which one they are learning about!  We will be making a Google Slides presentation that they can show you at home.
Mrs. Holley
On Wednesday, January 20th, we will be making relief maps of some of the landforms we have been studying in social studies.  To do this, I need to have the students make their own clay at home.  Could you please help your child with this project?  Thank you!  If there is a problem, let me know.

This recipe can be made ahead of time and kept in the refriderator.
1 cup water
1 cup flour
½ cup salt
¼ cup corn starch
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
½ Tablespoon alum (found in the spice aisle of the store)
Mix all ingredients.  Cook over medium heat until the clay thickens.  Remove from pan and knead until smooth.  Store in an airtight container or plastic bag.  DO NOT color the clay.  We will be painting our maps at school.
Thank you,

Mrs. Lucy
